Contest Rules & Terms

Overview
The Dirty Filter Face-Off Contest is a fun, skill-based competition open to pool service professionals and industry participants. By entering, you agree to the following rules and conditions.

Entry Period

Entries will be accepted from May 19 through June 15, closing at 12:00 PM (Pacific Time) on June 15.

Late entries will not be considered.

Voting Period

Public voting will take place from June 17 through June 30, closing at 12:00 PM (Pacific Time) on June 30.

Winner Announcement

Winners will be officially announced on July 4.

Entry Submissions

Participants may submit multiple entries, however each photo or video must
be submitted as a separate entry.
Entries may be submitted via:
Online upload through the OnCore Filtration website
Email or text message (where applicable)
Approved OnCore Filtration or AQUA social media channels

Each entry must include:

• Name
• Location (City / State)
• Contact phone number
• Contact email address

Digital Submission Policy

This contest is entirely digital. No physical photographs will be accepted or returned.
Physical photos may be submitted by photographing the image and uploading it digitally.

Content Requirements

Entries must be original, authentic, and created in good faith.
Submissions cannot be AI-generated.

Entries may not be:

Replicated from images found online
Previously published or widely distributed content
Reused from prior contests
Entries must depict real-world conditions and must not be misleading or manipulated.
Photos and videos must be taken in locations where the entrant has permission to capture and share content.
OnCore Filtration and AQUA reserve the right to review and verify authenticity of all submissions.

Usage Rights & Ownership

By entering, participants grant OnCore Filtration full ownership rights to all submitted content.
All photos and videos may be used in perpetuity, across all media, marketing, and promotional channels, by OnCore Filtration and AQUA without additional compensation.

Voting & Judging

Voting is limited to one vote per valid email address.
All votes will be validated prior to prize awards.
Winners will be determined using a combination of:

• Public voting results
• Judging panel evaluation
• Judging decisions are final and not subject to appeal

Prizes

Prizes are awarded based on merit and are not a game of chance.
Cash prizes are issued as gift cards.

Prize Categories:

Best Creative Photo: $250 Cash Gift Card
Best Creative Video: $250 Cash Gift Card
2026 Nightmare Filter Award:
$1,000 in OnCore Filtration products
OR $500 Cash Gift Card (at organizer's discretion)
Prize fulfillment will be coordinated directly with winners.

General Conditions

OnCore Filtration and AQUA reserve the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the contest at any time.
This includes changes to dates, rules, prizes, or contest structure.
Incomplete, fraudulent, or inappropriate entries may be disqualified.
Participants agree not to submit content that is unlawful, unsafe, or offensive.

No Correspondence

No correspondence will be entered into regarding contest decisions or judging outcomes.

Legal & General Disclaimer

This contest is administered by OnCore Filtration in partnership with AQUA Magazine.
By entering, participants agree to release and hold harmless OnCore Filtration, AQUA, their affiliates, employees, and partners from any and all liability arising from participation in the contest or acceptance and use of any prize.

OnCore Filtration and AQUA are not responsible for:
Late, lost, incomplete, or misdirected entries
Technical failures, including website, server, or network issues
Unauthorized interference or fraud
Errors in contest administration
OnCore Filtration reserves the right to:
Disqualify entrants who tamper with the entry or voting process
Cancel or modify the contest if required due to unforeseen circumstances
Substitute prizes of equal or greater value if necessary
This contest is void where prohibited by law and subject to all applicable regulations. All decisions made by OnCore Filtration and AQUA are final and binding.

Acceptance of Terms

By submitting an entry, participants agree to be bound by these rules and all decisions made by OnCore Filtration and AQUA.
